At KS4 we offer students the option to study GCSE Geography examined by AQA. We follow the specification A Programme of Study:
Students are entered at the end of Year 10 for one examination which is worth 37.5% of their final grade. They will then complete a controlled assessment in examination conditions which is based on a fieldtrip to the Peak District National Park worth 25%
In year 11 students complete their finl examination, worth 37.5% of their final grade. They may also have the option to re-sit their Year 10 examination if their grade is significantly below expectation.
