Fred Longworth High School has developed links with PTC, a world leading commercial software company. As part of this relationship PTC has donated it's market leading Pro|ENGINEER Wildfire software to the school. Pro|ENGINEER is used in the Design & Technology department and under the agreement Students can install a copy of Pro|ENGINEER at home for free.

PTC software is widely used throughout UK industry and in Universities including Liverpool, Manchester, Bolton and Blackburn; the use of Pro|ENGINEER within Design & Technology will help prepare students for higher education and future hi-tech careers.
